A3 Riso Printing Bundle

Whether you are an amateur artist or a professional illustrator, let us bring your designs to life in vibrant Riso colour. Your artwork will be printed single-sided on high quality A3 170gsm white paper, and then posted to you, UK delivery included in the price. A nice little bundle for art prints or posters!

HOW TO ORDER

• Pick the number of copies and the number of ink colours you would like from the menu and then 'add to cart'.
• Once you have placed your order, simply reply to our order confirmation email letting us know your chosen ink colours and attaching your print files.
• We aim to print and ship within seven days (often sooner). 

WHAT FILES DO I SEND?

• Your design will need separating into layers: one for each colour. 
• Each colour layer should be saved as a separate pdfs. Send us your flattened PDFs (one for each colour layer) in greyscale / B&W. These should be A3 with 300dpi resolution. 
  
• Each A3 PDF's printable area is no bigger than 400mm x 277mm.
• Name each each pdf with your chosen colour.
• Please also send us a colourised reference .jpg file for your final design. This is just used by us to check the alignment.

RISOGRAPH DESIGN TIPS 

• Riso inks have a translucent quality so the colours work when overlaid over each other. You can achieve additional colours by combining inks and tints in this way. You can switch on "multiply" in the blending menu in Adobe to get an idea of how the final version will look when layered over each other. 
• The Riso will translate your B&W / greyscale designs in to a stencil and then use that stencil to print in your chosen ink colour. You can control the ink tint by using differing tints of black. 
• Risograph cannot print full bleed in A3 so we suggest a 10mm border around the A3 edge. 
• To reduce the possibility of roller marks, leave one area (either top or bottom) of your A3 design clear or with little coverage. 
• Any rogue roller marks can be removed with a soft rubber or eraser. 
• Avoid large areas of solid 100% colour as it can cause problems of ink flooding. We recommend that large areas should be reduced to around 75% tint. 
• Any text should be above 7pt to increase legibility. It is best to keep any sharp lines and text as vectors will help to ensure they are crisp. 
  
• Each print will be slightly different, with slight mis-registration in layers and visual tics and imperfections. Designs and ideas that embrace these (charming) quirks are often the most successful.
